Rebecca Winslow

Director of Advocacy

Rebecca is honored to join the highly effective Colorado Succeeds team and continue doing the good work. As the Director of Advocacy, she will evangelize the organization’s policy efforts while building a coalition of statewide business support for workforce development implementation. Rebecca is proud to be a champion for all learners as Colorado Succeeds increases access to meaningful postsecondary employment and secures one million credentials of value by 2030.

What do travel, tech, aviation, and finance have in common? These are all industries where Rebecca honed her strategic planning, marketing, and advertising acumen. She joined Colorado Succeeds—a departure from previous work—because of a passion for equity, a call to service, and a love of building collaborative relationships.

Rebecca has served as PTO president within Denver and Littleton Public Schools districts, led a DPS elementary Collaborative School Committee, and volunteered as a postsecondary counselor at her children’s high school. Through this work, she saw first-hand the challenges and struggles plaguing Colorado schools. Rebecca graduated with a BA in Journalism and a business marketing minor from Indiana University Bloomington. She was part of the Junior League of Denver’s inaugural Leadership Institute class while serving as VP of Public Policy on the Board.

Community Involvement

Rebecca recently completed a three-year term on the Eastmoor Swim and Tennis Club board of directors, having served as president, vice president, and capital improvements chair. She is also a commissioned elder at Wellshire Presbyterian Church, serving on multiple committees. Rebecca gets joy from laughing with family and friends, commissioning a Ladies Only Football Pool, playing tennis, skiing, playing board games, cheering for Indiana basketball, playing euchre, having friends over, home organization, and more.

Why Rebecca Loves Colorado

Colorado has been Rebecca’s chosen home since 1999. Besides the weather, her favorite thing about Colorado is the abundance of great people. Rebecca has loved raising her kids here; focusing on wellness, prevention, and movement as a lifestyle; playing tennis; and supporting local businesses.
