Security Notice: Unauthorized Access to Employee Email Account

Colorado Succeeds is committed to maintaining the privacy and security of our stakeholders’ information. This notice is to inform you of a recent security incident involving unauthorized access to a single employee’s email account.

What Happened
On March 27, 2025, we identified unauthorized access to an individual employee’s email account. Upon discovery, we immediately secured the account and began a full investigation with the assistance of IT security professionals.

What Information Was Involved
The email account contained names, email addresses, and organizational affiliations of individuals who had communicated with or been in contact with the affected employee. No financial account numbers, passwords, or other sensitive personal data were accessed or stored in the account.

What We Are Doing
The incident was isolated to a single user account, and the affected account was quickly re-secured.
Organization-wide password resets and multi-factor authentication were implemented.
A third-party IT security firm has reviewed the incident and confirmed no further compromise.
We are taking steps to strengthen our data security practices and provide additional staff training.provide additional staff training.
