Rachel Van Brocklin

Director of Communications

Rachel Van Brocklin is the Director of Communications at Colorado Succeeds, where she leads communications strategies for the organization, including advocacy, brand awareness, marketing, public relations, and strategic campaigns and initiatives. Rachel is passionate about educational equity and supporting all children in reaching their full potential, guiding her approach to communication and partnership with business, community, and education leaders.

Prior to joining Colorado Succeeds, Rachel led communications for Rocky Mountain Prep, supporting the charter school network as it grew from one to four schools. She also worked as a communications consultant at Colorado-based communications agency SE2, supporting organizations such as the Colorado Department of Human Services, the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment, and K12 Inc. She began her career in the classroom as a Teach For America corps member in Aurora, Colorado.

Rachel has a bachelor’s degree in public administration from New York University and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Colorado Denver.

Community Involvement

Rachel is driven by her passion for supporting children and a belief that every family deserves the opportunity to find the best school for their student. Rachel serves as a board member of the Luminary Learning Network, on the board of trustees at Montessori Academy of Colorado, and volunteers at her son’s school as a parent ambassador and gala committee member. She loves connecting with people at events and can often be found supporting her favorite charities in silent auction bidding wars.

Why Rachel Loves Colorado

Originally from a cornfield in northern Illinois, Rachel has lived in central Denver for more than 15 years and is proud to now call this beautiful city home. She loves frequenting Alamo Placita Park, dining and shopping with friends in Cherry Creek, and spending time with her husband, Brad; their son, Jacob; and Bernese Mountain Dog, Jean Baptiste.

Communications plays a vital role in championing education and workforce initatives. I’m proud to be part of a team committed to ensuring business, communities, and educators are informed and united to build a better future for all Colorado students.
