NoCo Inspire, Poudre School District

NoCo Inspire is a dedicated team and online platform focused on connecting high school students in the Poudre School District to Northern Colorado employers and community mentors, to provide meaningful work-based learning opportunities. 

Poudre School District – Educator Externships

The Poudre School District Teacher Externship Program gives high school and middle school teachers and administrators opportunities to work with local businesses to gain additional expertise in their content area. Participants are encouraged to learn about academic pathways into sectors and industries, employment expectations, and future opportunities, then share this information with their students and colleagues. 

Frederick High School – P-Tech Program

Starting in 2019 at Frederick High School, in partnership with Aims Community College, Tolmar, and Agilent Technologies, this P-TECH program will initially offer a pathway in biochemistry. The district will support concurrent enrollment during grades 9-12 so students are able to receive dual credit from St. Vrain and Aims. Greeley Evans School District Apprenticeship Program

Building off of the success of their Career Explore Summer Internship Program, Greeley Evans School District 6 is launching a new apprenticeship program in partnership with Vestas. Students enrolled in the district’s Advanced Manufacturing Pathways courses will be paid an hourly wage and receive employee benefits while in the apprenticeship.

The Career Explore program (which originally began in JeffCo) works with students who feel unsupported by the traditional high school model to help them explore and identify post-secondary opportunities that align with their skills and interests.
