
John Strott
Vice President of Programs and Strategy
John Strott serves as the Vice President of Programs and Strategy, leading multiple initiatives at Colorado Succeeds focused on generating positive action and measurable results for our students.
Prior to Colorado Succeeds, John worked as a Director of Product Strategy at Cengage Learning, a higher-education learning solutions and curriculum provider. Before that, he was with the Boston Consulting Group, where he worked across a variety of industries on strategy and organizational change initiatives, including education. One of his first projects was supporting the World Economic Forum’s development of their New Vision for Education, conducting a global assessment of “21st-century skills” development and emerging technologies targeted at those skills.
John began his career in the classroom, serving as a 7th grade earth science teacher in Las Vegas through the national teacher corps, Teach For America.
John received his undergraduate degree from Emory University in Psychology, before earning a Master of Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas during his time as a teacher. After leaving the classroom, John received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
