Colorado Succeeds

As the business voice for education, we demand effective performance from our education system and are dedicated to creating a climate for reform in Colorado. We are committed to dramatically improving the quality of the state’s education system through various tactics and initiatives.

We have a keen understanding and healthy balance between being upfront on some matters and behind the scenes on others. Some of our efforts are brazen and bold; some of our activities are strategically invisible and intangible. As in business, we achieve desired outcomes by being flexible, innovative and opportunistic. These are some examples of the many ways our agenda is playing out:

• Strategically placing key business leaders on influential boards and committees to advance our agenda
• Utilizing the business community’s influence to affect legislative outcomes
• Using the media to carry our message - with a tailored, multi-faceted, statewide approach
• Raising the profile of education reform by incorporating our message into every major business discussion – making it normal, expected and productive to comingle education policy with business issues

Colorado Succeeds provides a unique and powerful tool to create the conditions for statewide education reform. We were recently recognized as a key driver of reform in Colorado by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for a Competitive Workforce and the Thomas B. Fordham Institute.
