Colorado Succeeds was founded on the premise that the business community has the obligation, opportunity and capacity to improve the state’s education system to prepare every student to succeed in a competitive international environment. We believe:

• Those shortcomings threaten the economic vitality of the state and business operating within the state
• Business has multiple reasons to take a leadership role in aggressively pursuing reforms.

Why business? Business can be very effective. Business has the experience and influence to support or initiate change and has successfully done so in other states. It is in the direct interest of business to have a pool of well-educated individuals to hire, to ensure that employee’s families have the highest quality schools and finally to ensure continued economic growth and vitality for Colorado. Simply put, great schools are good business.
